Freshman Year:
I lived in an off-campus dorm. My roomate and I were strangers, and within a week of us getting to college, she had a new boyfriend down the hall. She'd spend all of her time in his room, sleeping, studying, etc... on occasion she'd make an appearance to watch tv in our room or eat or change her clothes. She'd always leave her dirty dishes piled in our sink (we had our own bathroom)-- mind you, this was a sink for brushing teeth, washing up, etc... not a kitchen sink! We also had a swimming pool outside our door, and she'd go swim and then leave her wet suit in the sink.
It got to be really obnoxious because I'd have to push all her dirty scummy dishes out of the way and it didn't really effect her, because, after all she pretty much lived in her BF's room. One day, I got so fed up I threw all her dirty moldy dishes and her wet bathing suit, too, on her bed. I couldn't even see the sink!
She was pissed, but eventually apologized and after that it wasn't an issue. I think she had been so used to her mom doing everything for her that she wasn't used to sharing or cleaning up after herself.
In her defense, she was great about giving me my phone messages!
