This IS weird. It would have scared me. I had a similar experience recently when I was leaving CVS. Some man came up to me talking about he was starting a church and he wanted me to join. How did he know whether or not I was Christian? Then he wanted me to follow him to his van so he could write down his number. Girl, I was like oh no! I had my daughter with me too so I started getting nervous. But his van was parked right by my car (ironic, right) and he gave me his number. I'm glad I haven't seen him since.
