He also told me that the people who work there totally talk smack about customers all the time. I told him that was a really odd way to attract customers and he said obviously it didn't matter because the stores all do really well. 
Needless to say I still feel uncomfortable shopping there because I feel like someone is talking about me every time I'm there.

I don't know if this was part of a weird affirmative action thing in the store's eyes or what, but one time I went to the Abercrombie in NYC and the girl who was working the dressing room was about a size 8 or a 10 (which by Abercrombie standards is huge) and wasn't wearing makeup or anything and had a few pimples and kinda frizzy hair. She was still really pretty, but it felt so surreal seeing a real person working at Abercrombie.
