Somebody gave me some very sage advice-- order a chapter guard. If your badge is jeweled, you especially don't want it falling off somewhere. A guard gives you the extra bit of protection.

Co-sign on the chapter guard--one of the things that I regret the most is that I never had a pin guard on my OES pin that my grandmother had given to me when I was initiated---somewhere, along the way, at an event, it fell off. I was almost sick b/c it was one that had been in my family for years and had belonged to my great great aunt.
As far as the badges, there are several that I'm looking at. Seeing all of the badges that she had saved over the years really gave me a chance to look at them up close, and not just on the website. I'm definitely watching ebay as well---would LOVE to get an older badge for my initiation until mine comes in.
