slightly off topic...

just fininshed watching one of those lifetime movies--never mind the fact that mark-paul gosselear is always typecast for this role, but he was in a frat called Kappa Pi, which i assume is a fake frat.

couple of weeks ago, my brother was watching yet another stupid TV movie called "going greek" (actually i think it went straight to DVD) and the frat was called iota something chi (i remember them pronouncing it i-ki for short). in that particular movie theres a few other orgs, the sister org was Tri Pi (which im sure was purely created for humourous innuendo).

back to your original question--i never saw the movie, but i think for the comedic effect, the writers wouldve used "omicron" but i guess to give it a more cliche greek college movie, they'd use "omega"--personally i would think omega over omicron if i was making some letter association with the college frat scene.
