They are being taught that the only acceptable way to express being Southern is to apologize for it. Well, I intend to put a dent in that.''

TRUTH is an absolute defense. This NATION's history IS tainted by slavery, moreso the South because the leaders of the States felt so strongly about the issue and its economics that they seceeded from the Union. Conferederate symbols ARE racist because of the reason for the existence of the Confederacy as stated above as well as the use of those symbols since, just like the Swastika.

Unfortunately, the freedom of expression includes the freedom to act a fool and defend your beliefs however twisted and out of touch with reality they may be.
