My doctor said heavy nosebleeds most often mean allergies. It doesn't have to be to just seasonal things. My nose used to bleed really heavily, for like 10 min. at a time and at the most random moments (in the car, in class, while I slept, whereever). That's when we found out that I was allergic to cig. smoke (which was shame on my chain-smoker mother). It made my nose so sensitive that it would just bleed off and on for days at a time (even if I hadn't been around smoke for a few days, it was still sensitive). It developed really suddenly, so there might be something irritating you that never did before (which is why you can't pinpoint it). Talk to your doctor and see if you can think of anything you might be allergic to that you weren't before. It might still be hard to pinpoint, b/c this went on for YEARS before we figured it out, so you've really got to think back to when it started.
