ALF - ain't nothing wrong with that. Honestly, that was one of the better shows on television until they dropped all sorts of 'social problems' on it - it fits the classic mold of sitcoms:
AT FIRST - very funny, good storylines, takes a while to get good (first few are weak then gets better)
NEXT - gets random, b/c normal humor routes stop working. (NOTE - simpsons is currently in this stage)
FINALLY - run totally out of ideas, and start to get into social issues, and usually really weird ones (ie abortion or running away rather than simple theft, drug use rather than not obeying curvew). . . anyone remember the last season of roseanne? freaking brutal.
