Silver, please forgive me for crashing, but may I make a suggestion? Since you're unsure of yourself when it comes to makeup, go to a department store (or two!) and look carefully at the cosmetologists who seem to be about your age. Look especially for one who has your coloring and whose "look" is the most like you'd want. Then, throw yourself at her mercy. Tell her what you'd like (simple, age-defiant) and what you wish to avoid (overly-dramatic, time consuming), and tell her that you want to watch her put it on - that you NEED to watch her put it on! Don't forget, you can always wash it off! Continue until you're happy with what you see - then buy the works. It's worth a try.
