I pay something like 2800 a semester, and that does not include formals, or date parties, alumni events etc.
If it's purely a money thing, get a job. I work almost full time so I have enough to cover it.
I can't argue to change your mind, but it seems to me that you haven't made an effort to get to know everyone in your chapter or there are other things involved that aren't being said.
