The Fathers Pen was designed by two UNCW sisters.... in fact, I became friends with these girls when I was at convention in 1990 as UNCA's delegate. Kimberly showed me the design at convention - it was sketched on a piece of paper in pencil. She told me that they were going to submit their design to National Council for approval. They did and it was approved!
