i think that a point has to be made that many of 'us' that consider a military career do so as a means to an end. focus, job, career, monetary support etc.; things that a military career can provide.
with that being said, from what i have read, heard and experienced, certain recruiters attempt to take advantage of that. i will go so far as to say that it is probably more a part of recruiting strategy than many of us can imagine. nonetheless, it is a shame.
i completely agree that with every sacrifice made by our soldiers more time should be given and more respect to those who defend the ground that i walk.
it may not mean much but each time i see a soldier, reserve or active i tell him/her THANK YOU. you are doing a job that i dont have the guts to do. thank you for keeping me and my family safe. may GOD continue to bless and keep you and yours.
