PLEASE READ OBJECTIVELY!

Hotep Brothers. In NO way, shape, or form has this VETERAN attempted to present a viewpoint that entails individuals being "owed/entitled" anything other than what human decency compells and mandates.

Granted, signing a military contract and taking an oath to serve and protect is self-explanatory but that is too easy an explanation for the DECEPTIVE practices that are used by way of some (not all) of Uncle Sam's military recruiters.

If one wants to be technical and anal about military servitude perhaps h/she should live their life as such and make an absurb attempt to use the weak argument of "well, soldiers knew damn well what they were getting themselves into." Impoverished men and women who are convinced there are no other alternatives and are desirous of providing for their families will surely disagree w/such notions that "they knew what they were getting themselves into." As an honorably discharged veteran who KNOW WHAT I AM WRITING ABOUT FROM FACTUAL EXPERIENCE I can attest that a great many would probably say, "so what?"

Again, the military member of today as well as yesteryear(s) deserves BETTER treatment. Plain and simple. Nevertheless, when one has a TRUE UNDERSTANDING of what the United States along w/many of her agents are forever promoting h/she will be better prepared for when PROMISES never materialize. A good number of soldiers sign up for military service and deservingly so expect something in return. Why should they do otherwise? When one obtains employment even at a fast-food restaurant is it not feasible to expect a decent wage, washroom break, and most importantly BENEFITS!
