not my business, but..why???

I go to school at a very, very white campus. African Amrican's make up less than 1% of the total school's population. So...for the most part all the blacks tend to know each other and stick together.

This past week, all the GLO's were having their Rush, and the girls were seen all around campus going to the various houses and attending the various events and activities......Low and behold, there they were......3 sista's right along with them, in one of the mini groups going around campus.

At first, I just thought, "jali0004, that is none of your business or concern", but I have to ask, what would make a black woman join one of these groups? Is she looking for a college experience a BGLO doesn't offer?? I just don't get it. I came to Minnesota fro my education, not to lose my sense of cultural identity. But that's just me. I think it's harder to understand where women (and men) who are black and join a GLO are coming from when you attend a Predominately white college or university. It's so few of us here, why woulddn't they want to associate with us?? But here's a question for us in BGLO's: would you want "them" in your organization anyway???

Sorry for the rambling, but I just don't understand it .....
