My was at this popular women's retail store. My assistant manager was gay which is no problem at all for me but he would get mad at me every time a guy would come into the store and hit on me. He came up to me at one point and actually said to me, "You're taking away my men!" I'm like, "I'm sorry that they're straight!" Sunday was cleaning day where we would windex all the store windows, mop the floors, dust the displays, and use the high-power cleaners on the countertops. I came in a skirt because my manager, who liked me, told me I would be on register. Well, my assistant manager who hates handed me a toothbrush and told me to clean the floors and toilet with it.
And he was totally serious! I refused so he got on my case for the rest of the day. This little kid came into the store later on and threw-up all over the carpet. My assistant manager told me to clean it. No way! Well, the idiot didn't feel like cleaning it and thought he could get me in trouble. So, he left it there over night. My manager came in the next day and threw a fit. My assistant manager told the manager that he asked me to clean it and that I refused. She was like, "And she shouldn't have to. That's your responsibility!" I quit two days later. Two years later, he's still working there! I thought he'd be fired by now....
