Big/Lil matchup is a mutual selection process in our chapter. We get a list of girls who want to take littles(it's usually the previous classes members and any other sisters who haven't taken a little yet or want another) and then have activities for the big's and little's to meet and get to know one another. After a few activity nights, each girl makes a list of their top 3 choices for who they want as their big or little. The "perfect matches" are made first(those are girls who put each other as their #1 choice) then the matching goes on from there, usually with the littles getting their first or second choice. It has seemed to work out pretty well for us.
