Thank you for posting that. I checked my own Fraternity's website and was saddened to read this:
_____________
News Update: September 11 Tragedy
Tragically, Delta Gamma Fraternity has been made aware of a member who is still missing after the events of September 11.

Melissa Candida Doi, Sigma-Northwestern, was in the north tower of the World Trade Center when it collapsed. Melissa worked on the 83rd floor of the north tower, where she implemented banking systems for IQ Financial Systems. She graduated from Northwestern University in 1991.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Melissa's family through this difficult time.

Reports are slowly coming in that other Delta Gammas have been and continue to be directly affected by these unthinkable tragedies. Alumnae and collegians alike have lost brothers, husbands, cousins, office buildings and homes. Sadly, stories like these continue to trickle in as rescue workers complete their arduous task.

What has outnumbered these distressing accounts, however, are messages from Delta Gammas around the globe willing, able and eager to help. Heartwarming e-mails and phone calls clearly show that Delta Gammas are there for their sisters in times of trouble.

Below is a small sample of some of the countless messages of support we have received at Executive Offices. Perhaps each of these women remind us more than ever that our commitment to Delta Gamma is for a lifetime.

On behalf of the Fraternity, thank you all for your continued concern. If you have information about a member who has been involved or if you simply have questions or concerns, please contact Whitney Parker, Director of Public Relations, at Executive Offices, (614) 481-8169 ext. 306.
