I will start off by saying, my recap will never compare to the ones you give. But here goes….
The show starts off with Loralie at the police station picking up Rori. Loralia, in a nervous way, kept talking to the officer. As she waited for Rori to come out Logan’s friends came in to pick him up. They decided Loralie was hot—in their words Rori has “good genes”. She was released w/o bail and promised to appear in court in June. As the two were leaving the jail Logan’s friends bowed to Rori.
The two (Loralie and Rori) go into town. Taylor organized for the Conn bike race to come thru town, so there is the usual hussle of Stars Hallow. While they were in the car making small talk, Logan calls Rori’s cell phone. Loralie tells her not to answer it- Rori says she has to. Loralie goes into Luke’s to get food to go. Inside Luke’s Loralie spills her guts about picking Rori up from jail—she does her nervous rambling talking and making a list of what is needed (soap, car from impound, etc). The two sit in the car for a few minutes and Rori tells her what Logan’s dad says (ie: doesn’t have “it” would be a good assistant though).
Next day… Layne and the band guys are in their house. Layne notices her drums are covered in clothes (gets a worried look). Rori wakes up and goes to the kitchen to see that her mom has hung her mugshots on the fridge door. Rori tells Loralie she is going to school for her last final and packing. They discuss lawyers agree not to tell the grandparents. Rori says good bye and leaves as the phone rings. It’s Logan looking for Rori. Loralie is very short with Logan. Logan offers his fathers lawyers- Loralie says his dad has done enough already. Logan asks confused, conversation ends. Rori arrives at school with Logan waiting to ask her “what did he do?” Rori fills him in, Logan wants to say something to his father, Rori says no. They hug and smile, Rori says she needs to study.
Back in Stars Hollow, Taylor and Luke discuss the house, Taylor points out that he has 3 days to back out of the deal. Layne takes a break to have a band meeting, Gill is late. They think the band is breaking up—no one has time to practice and no more gigs to play. Luke goes to the inn to fix some things—a present came for Loralie from the man who owns all the inns—he is trying to convince her to work for him. Luke and Loralie discuss the present—the meeting with the inn man—Luke gets upset and can’t believe that she would consider leaving and traveling. Luke freaks out and says “what about the kids?” Loralie asks what he is talking about, he says nothing and goes off to make repairs.
Layne goes to see her mom and ask if she could move home. She told her the band was over and she was finished with her. Mrs Kim says that Kim’s don’t quit, gets upset and walks off.
Loralie and Rori meet for lunch and Rori drops the bomb that she isn’t returning to Yale. Rori tells her she doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life.
Luke sees Taylor and tells him nevermind on the house.
Emily and Richard are having breakfast when Loralie shows up to ask for help. She tells them about the yahact stealing, and the dropping out of school. They agree to be a united front at Friday dinner and tell Rori she can’t quite school. Richard is also finding Rori a lawyer.
As Richard is getting ready to leave the house Rori shows up, crying. She tells Richard she messed up (her hands were on her stomach-it looked like she was just going to say “I’m pg” but she didn’t)
Then we see the band guys waiting on Layne, who shows up with Mrs Kim. Mrs Kim booked the band at churches all across the state. She has their tour dates, plans, etc all ready to go—she is the manager now! (how strange!)
Then comes Friday night dinner, Loralie arrives to get ready to confront Rori. The Gilmores tell Loralie they already spoke with Rori. The go on to tell her that Rori will be taking time off of school, Richard will find her an acceptable job, and after sometime Rori will return to school. Until that time, she will live in the Gilmore’s pool house. As Loralie left the house, she stood and watched Rori thru the window as she moved into pool house.
Loralie went to the diner to find Luke. She had a minor breakdown about how Rori was suppose to have it better than she did, etc. Luke told Loralie that they would drive Rori to school everyday, take shifts to make sure she stayed in class too. Loralie looked at Luke and asked him to marry her.
That was the end of the show!
