It worked on Different World because we knew that Dewayne and Whitley loved each other. Professor Pound Puppy, on the other hand, was a marriage of bogus proportions.
With Maya and Darnell, I see Darnell maybe waking up to the realization that he loves Maya. I am all for it since I love a good love story.
But seriously do not bring Shar on for a ghetto role.
