About 10 years ago, an up-and-coming country singer named Kenny Chesney played a show at the Somerset County Fair.
I was under the grandstand, slinging burgers in the fire department's concession stand, and watching the show over the fence on my breaks.
If I had only known he was a brother, I could've walked right up to the stage and introduced myself. Unfortunately, this was right after his first or second hit record, and before the marketing people at IHQ got ahold of him. It wasn't until years later that I read an article in the C&C and realized how close I had been.
