ETA: They aren't. Benny Medina was the inspiration for the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. He was a writer on that show. He also managed a few people and served as executive producer of a few films. Benny Boom produced a few videos (and I think he's done other stuff---just not that familiar with him).

Yeah, Benny managed JLo until they parted on bad terms. He was a producer on Maid in Manhattan and The Fighting Temptations. He manages Tyra Banks and is producing her new talk show. And he's Mariah's manager too.
