Somewhere in my parents home are the reel-to-reels my dad sent home from Vietnam as well. Great to listen to...especially the background noise - people speaking Vietnamese, etc....aircraft taking off and landing (he was a USAF pilot).

Nice to listen to every now and then, but what a technology throwback. If the tape player breaks before we get them transferred to CD - we're probably screwed.
