I found out this afternoon that the daughter of one of my coworkers was affected by this fire. She is unhurt, but she lost everything - clothes, ID, computer, textbooks, everything that was in her dorm room. Among other things, she lost her passport, and she is scheduled to go overseas in two weeks, so she's trying to get an emergency passport issued.
I'm just glad no one was hurt.
