We actually had mountain lions and coyotes that use to run around the woods near my parents' house. A couple of dogs went missing, and they were found a few days later having been mauled. I was in elementary school at the time, and we had to stay inside for a few days afterward. Our parents didn't want us being picked off playing basketball or anything.
I can't even imagine what it must have looked like watching a 90 year old woman fend off a wild animal. That's absolutely crazy.
