I know many members of NPHC organizations who would say that informals, rushes or smokers mean nothing as to gaining membership in a NPHC organization. Members already know who they want way before any of these events are held and they are just formalities. This of course depends on the chapter or region that you are apart of. It also depends on the particular organization.
