My daughter is a new member of Alpha Gam at the University of Central Oklahoma. Anyway, her younger sister and I have never been so squirrel conscious! We have a large population of them in our neighborhood and we drive a lot more carefully down the street so we don't hit any. We scream "There's an Alpha Gam!" when we see one. The other day we saw a baby and screamed "There's a pledge!" Before they were just squirrels.... now they have significance.:D

I saw a black squirrel today - he was hiding his nuts which had the whole neighborhood in a tizzy! There must have been 5 of us out there watching him!

Just got back from Brevard, NC which is home of the White Squirrel.

The best place to see the white squirrels was, of course, Brevard Campus.
It was very cute and funny to see the ws chasing the regular-colored squirrels, lol. They seemed to be more active.

They also seemed to be a lot more furrier but maybe that's because they are getting their winter coat.

I AM NOT a good photographer but darn if one cute little squirrel, with an acorn, didn't come up RIGHT NEXT TO MY CAR so I could take its picture!!! Even stood there for a few minutes until I could figure out the camera, lol. When I figure out how to post, I will.

Pink...Fall is the best time of year to find squirrel stuff in stores.

Have to share this...my cousin's house is near Brevard HS; I made a comment that I wondered if their mascot was the Fighting Squirrels; my hubby said "If they had any sense!" (Gosh, I love him!);):D

Turns out the Brevard College is the Tornadoes but also known as the Fighting Squirrels so I picked up a couple of decals (at a place called Hunters and Gatherers).

I lived in Brevard the summer after I joined. I thought that was so cool because I didn't know going into it. I so wanted to see a white squirrel and I finally did the last day i was there... you would have thought i would see them everywhere.

It is a great place to get squirrel stuff.

I love seeing squirrels. Today one of my classmates was feeding the squirrel M&M's (bad idea since it is chocolate but it was the peanut M&M's). Anyways the only color that squirrel would eat was the red and yellow M&M's...I thought that was amazing. I love being a baby squirrel.
