Wow, that's too bad, he was a great actor. "Butch Cassidy" and "The Sting" are two of my favorite movies. That will be big local news - he spent a lot of time in Connecticut, and was seen around the state quite a bit.

May he rest in peace.

He was the ultimate "actor's actor". He will be missed.

And a caring man who gave so much back. I think he had a good life, though.

Wow, just wow. Usually when a celeb dies I just shrug my shoulders. This one actually makes me a bit sad.

This is so sad. Paul Newman was legendary. Such a great actor and philanthropist. He will be sorely missed.

My condolences go out to his family and friends.

I met Mr. Newman several times at MidOhio Sports Car Course and at Kenyon. Even though we only spoke "track talk", he was always polite and easy to speak with.

He was such a wonderful philanthropist and never let fame get to his head. Godspeed.

I just heard on the radio that he gave over $175 million to charities just from his salad dressing sales alone. What an incredible man. RIP Paul Newman.

:( He starred in so many movies that I liked. I was thinking the other day that it had been a while since I had heard how he was doing, knowing how ill he was.
