Question!!
My cousin is now an alumni of a Delta Delta Delta Chapter. She has a few shirts and sweates etc, that are basically band-new, but don't fit her anymore. She wants to give them to me. I have rushed for a sorority, but never went through with it. Is it wrong for me wear these shirts? Also, it is wrong to use a tote that has delta delta delta on them?
If so, can I get them embroidered saying "family" or "friend" something along those lines so it is obvious that that I'm not an actually sister, would that still make is wrong? |

Tell her to donate them to her collegiate chapter. |
Unless you are an initiated member you can't wear the letters. Does she not have any sisters she can give/sell these items too?

Your cousin should know that she needs to give the shirts to another initiated member. |

You are not a member. Sticking "family" or "friend" does not change the fact that you are not a member and not allowed to wear letters. Get over it. |
Letters are more then letters..they have special meaning to us as Tri Deltas and were meant for members to wear proudly. Please thank your cousin, but have her donate them to her chapter. Thanks.

Well said, sister.

To the OP, if you would like to do something nice for your cousin, may I suggest having the shirts turned into quilts? Campus Quilts are wonderful. I just had a few of my sorority shirts, along with other tshirts and sweatshirts, made into a quilt. It turns out wonderful and looks great. |
