chants

Anyone have any good delta chi chants?

Gusteau 01-17-2009 09:30 AM

We do this one where everyone starts off screaming and yelling until the leader chimes in:

Leader: Hold up!
All: Wait a minute!
Leader: Let my boys get funky with it!
All: Too fly, D-Chi, Represent until we die! Hoo-Ha Hoo-Ha Hoo-Ha Hoo-Ha Hoo-Ha...

Generally we get in a big huddle to do it and jump up and down on the hoo-ha. You have to be really pumped and into it though or it just sounds really awful.

Gusteau, we also do that chant at my colony, just curious what chapter you're from because some of our founding fathers claimed to have made that up, lol.

Gusteau 01-19-2009 09:49 AM

Haha, I'm at the George Mason Colony. I think we learned that chant from one of our Founders who was initiated at Radford but I'm not really sure.

We do a similar one that our first LC taught us:

Leader: Born proud, raised proud, who the hell are we?
All:Born proud, raised proud, who the hell are we?
Leader: We're the men of Delta Chi the best fraternity!
All: We're the men of Delta Chi the best fraternity!
Leader: D-E-L-T-A CHI-A
All: D-E-L-T-A CHI-A
Leader: Delta Chi Delta Chi Delta Chi-A!
All: Delta Chi Delta Chi Delta Chi-A!

Then all repeat the whole thing straight through

I love that one, its on HQ's website but no one has been able to figure out what they're saying the in "born proud, raised proud" part.

Leader: Give me a D
All: D
Leader: Give me an E
All: E

(repeat until you spell Delta Chi)

Scream for a few seconds then

All: Highty Tighty, Gosh Almighty, who the hell am I? Wham, Bam, Thank you ma'am I'm a Delta Chi.

DC65 08-14-2009 07:58 PM

Leader: Hold up!
All: Wait a minute!
Leader: Let my boys get funky with it!
All: Too fly, D-Chi, Represent until we die! Hoo-Ha Hoo-Ha Hoo-Ha Hoo-Ha Hoo-Ha...

then in add in...

Don’t stop, get it, get it, name a girl and D Chi’s hit it,
Ladies worldwide love the boys of Delta Chi!
D-Chi, D-Chi

So drink up, don’t you wait, D-Chi reppin blank State,
Party that’s how we be, the Delta Chi Fraternity!
Hoo-ha, hoo-ha

Classy...

But hey, I won't complain about some action in this forum!

wahoo20 08-22-2009 02:52 AM

We made up one here since there are several orgs that have Chi in their name...

One brother: WHAT CHI ARE YOU?!?!?

All: DCHI !!!!!

(repeat as you feel, we generally do it three times.)

when everyone shouts it it kindof sounds like "THE Chi" as in all the others are just pretenders.

Gusteau 08-22-2009 08:46 AM

^^^^ I really like that one!

gtdxeric 08-22-2009 09:00 PM

The Georgia Tech chapter does one ("borrowed" from UNC, I think?):

(one guy)
What's the best damn fraternity in the world?

(all)
DELTA CHI!
I was Delta Chi born, I was Delta Chi bred,
When I die I'll be Delta Chi dead
Rah Delta Chi, Rah Delta Chi, Rah Delta Chi Rah!
Raaaah!

worldrallyoffrd 10-01-2009 12:21 PM

Well U of MI doesn't do that many chants but we have a song or two.. do you guys have any good songs ( I doubt ours is school specific but it may be )

Gusteau 10-03-2009 09:23 PM

What kind of songs do you sing worldrallyoffrd? My chapter really only sings "The Bond Song"

schermerhorn 12-21-2009 03:25 AM

We have two that we do at ASU

Leader: Dchi
All: You Know
(repeat)

and

Delta Chi once, Delta Chi twice,
Holy jumping Jesus Christ,
Godd***, Son of a B***,
Delta Chi don't take no s***
So Rah Delta Chi Rah Delta Chi Rah Delta Chi Rah
Delta Chi Born, Delta Chi Bred,
When I Die I'll be Delta Chi Dead
So Rah Delta Chi Rah Delta Chi Rah Delta Chi Rah

Obviously since it's a little inappropriate we only do it at brotherhood events
