Al Franken, former SNL writer and Emmy award winner, won the primaries for the of Minnesota, shooting for a senate slot...He is a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party...any thoughts?

I've been waiting for this to appear here and for some Minnesotans to weigh in.

I'm not a fan of Franken, but this is a little different than other celebrities running for office. He has a Harvard education and, while I don't agree with much of what he says, he's a very intelligent guy.
