Text Messages from Myxer---HELP PLEASE!
I have received 72 text messages in the past 10ish minutes with "verification codes" from Myxer. I had no clue what this was so when I looked it up, http://www.myxertones.com/m2/help/troubleShooting.aspx is the website that came up...apparently it's a ringtone site. Has this ever happened to anyone???
I tried to find a way to remove myself from their list but I can't find anything on their website. The only thing I can think of is sending an email to the "help" address to asked to be removed, but in order to do that, I apparently need to fill in all of my personal info, which I'm not sure I'm comfortable doing. Any thoughts on how to make this stop? I hope this makes sense...I'm so frustrated right now!!! ETA: I tried replying to one of the texts and I got another one back that said "You are just a small robot." |
Don't send anything with your personal info. Call your cell phone provider. It could be a hacker or something similar trying to get your information.
I've never had it happen to me (yet) but I did see a special on TV saying that people like to hack cellphones to try and obtain personal information. |
Thank you, epchick! And good call...I'll give my cell phone provider a call and try to get to the bottom of it. I also want to make sure that no ringtones have actually sent to my phone or anything.

There might have been some that were sent, but it also might just be a ruse (sp?) Hopefully your cell phone provider will be able to help you!

Weird. I use myxertones.com for all my ringtones.
