Interested in philanthropy ideas!!!

My organization is attempting to decide on a few philanthropy events for the '08-'09 school term and I'd like some of your ideas.

My sorority does a silent auction. It takes about a year to plan and about that to get places to donate items though. Just something to think of in the future. We usually raise at least $3,000

My fraternity host a pageant, that usually raises a grand or more easily to our philanthropy.
