Frat clothes website idea

So I have been throwing around the idea of creating a website that sells fratty clothes for a bit cheaper than normal. When I say fratty I mean polo, vineyard vines, brooks brothers, costas, ray ban, etc.. I know alot of new guys in college dont necessarily know how to dress, and when they look at my site, they will know that anything they buy will fit them in. Mainly geared towards the southern guys, but what is your idea on this, like it or not?

I'd argue that people who have to shop at a "fratty" website to fit in don't really grasp the whole concept of the look at all... but...

I highly doubt that any of these brands would let you sell their items at a discount.

I can see your point, but frattinghard.com is a huge fratty website, that essentially explains how to be fratty. You might think that people who go there don't grasp it, but a lot of people go to that site.

It doesn't need to be explained.

I think it's an alright deal, but for some reason I think there already is one. I'm just not sure the link on it, it's not a major operation, but they sell Perlis, needle point belts, etc.

It's not a terribly bad idea, but I just go to Walker Brothers here in Fayetteville for a lot of it.

don't waist your time nor money.....it would take alot to invest...contracts with these brand names..and personally....if one of my pledges went to a site to tell you how to act or dress...they would never hear the end of it..

It's "President".

It's "waste".

. = period. Use it by itself some time.

I don't think you can really teach someone to be fratty. They either are or they aren't.

I agree! I also believe that you don't have to be "Fratty" to be in a Frat!

I agree, the "fratty" ones tend to be in fraternities. By their very nature "frats" tend to not have many fratty guys at all.

:D

OK let me refrase my idea. I wouldnt "teach" guys how to be fratty, just sell clothes for a good price that some of my brothers and I, and most of my school, consider fratty. Just a website with a good selection of specalized clothes. I would have to obtain a wholesale license to purchase from wholesale vendors and a home business license, after that I can do what I want with the clothes.

Based on the few responses to this thread, I'd say no one really cares.

Well there you go, Fratitude, you've got the high school thumbs-up. Full steam ahead!

Brooks Brothers won't wholesale their clothes to you. Their stores and catalogs are the only places where they sell their clothes aside from the Country Club collection which they license some country clubs (duh) to sell. Also I think VV is fairly protective of how they sell theirs as well. No one that sells their stuff direct (which all those brands do) is real open to the idea of selling them to someone at a discount when that person is only planning to undercut their pricing.
