* It was originally scheduled to start on September the 1st but due to Hurricane Gustav’s approach, those in power decided to delay a week so that way if anything went wrong all adequate fingerpointing and blamegaming could be put in the appropriate places and give the Dems something less to whine about.

I love how the nomination of McCain takes 30 minutes, and the "Coronation" of Palin takes 43 minutes... Is that 30 for her to speak, and 13 for the old republican dudes to pick their dentures from the floor from their jaw being dropped for 30 minutes and for them to notice there is a head above those set of boobs?

In all seriousness, it looks like Gustav might very well affect the agenda. Governors of all gulf coast states are skipping the RNC to be with their states because of the storm.

The local news has been talking about Charlie Crist's speech at the convention for the last couple of weeks! I am happy that is not going to happen(thought not happy at the circumstances!)
