Fall Rush 2008
Brothers, this thread is to report how chapters did during rush, whether the chapter is our own or others we hear about.

Roy, good timing. Just got a report last night from our Delta at Florida Tech.
He writes, "Friday was the first night of RUSH week and we started it off with a BANG!! Casino Night was the event, overall we had 50 guys come out, each giving us their information so we can contact them for future events! I have been told that it was one of the best events in a while, and i am completely overjoyed with the turn out! Now were are in the process of dividing up the people to give each Brother 2-3 guys to make sure they keep coming out to our events! Tuesday night we are having WING NIGHT at Ted and Doc's Saloon (by the old dollar theater and applebee's) This would be a great event to have alumni come out and socialize with the prospective!" His report sounds very upbeat and promising. This year alumni sent in donations to help the chapter with Rush. At last count it totaled $1,100. |
Excellent to hear about the Brothers of BN especially with the Big Storm there!
Would like to hear more about the casino night and wing night. Maybe others of us can use it! |
UTEP doesn't start school till tomorrow, but our guys have been hard at work getting our name out to incoming freshman at orientation. The chapter is having a rush/alumni tailgate for the UTEP vs. Texas game, best team UTEP has ever hosted in our stadium, so its gonna be a huge event.

If any brothers in the Birmingham, AL (or hell, even farther out!) area are bored this wednesday night, open invitation to come to The University of Montevallo and join your brothers of Sigma Epsilon Zeta at our annual Iceberg Party. It's considered the party of the semester, and we'll be sure not to disappoint!

Pi Lambda Zeta has 16 Associate Members (with a possible 17th). Several of them are extremely promising leaders (2 are RA's, one is spearheading another organization on campus currently). Exciting times now, but it is the last year we will have the Founders around. It looks like we'll have ~ around 68 member equilibrium (excluding our 16 inactive 6th years, 52), no small feat. The Zeta Phi Chapter at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has 38 new associates for the Fall of 2008.
|
Hey you guys are awesome!
Hope in the near future I can join. |
Zeta-Epsilon at UTEP is going to be handing out 16 bids. Hopefully then can get more PNM's through continous recruitment. Their goal is at least 20 AMs. They're currently working on their fraternity education programs to improve retention, last year they recruited 25 and only initiated 6.
