Septuplets' mother has only seen them on TV

"ALEXANDRIA, Egypt (AP) -- A day after giving birth to septuplets, a 27-year-old Egyptian woman said Sunday she's only seen her babies on television and hopes to hold them and name them soon."

The part that blows me away is that her husband makes so little money, yet she could afford fertility treatments? While I understand that sons are preferred now they have 10 mouths to feed on 8 dollars a week.

I know of a couple in Pennsylvania who is on public assistance, and has received IVF not once, not twice, but three times.

I find that positively obscene, especially when you consider that the father was barely literate and the mother completely illiterate.

I don't even know how to process that. I am getting seriously jaded at the number of pregnancies my clients seem to have. I just processed one where the mom said, "NO MORE BABIES!!" I quickly gave them the application for the Family Planning assistance program. ARGH!!!

Who paid for this? The taxpayers? That is complete BS. I'm sorry, but if you're on public assistance getting IVF should be the last of your damn worries.

WTF is wrong with people?!?!?!
