Curious as to what this was for all my Greekers out there...
After about 20mins of trying to figure out how to post a thread on here, I finally figured it out so I would love some help from anyone whose willing to answer this question for me...
What exactly is a Pledge Swap? I am a member of a sorority @ Keene State and my brother is attending Auburn University this fall and he recieved a massive pamphlet on Greek life (impressive btw)...which mentioned a lot about pledge swaps. it sounded somewhat scandalous so I am wicked curious. Help? |
I know at Ole Miss mixers are called swaps. It usually consists of a sorority and a fraternity having a party together. Sometimes there are "mega" swaps where there are 2 sororities and 2 fraternities. I bet at Auburn they have swaps just for the pledges.

ahh gotcha, thank you! i wasnt sure if it was more than just a social or not, thanks again!

Yup, pledge socials. Mixers which are usually supposed to be dry, usually aren't, and include only the pledge classes.
|
Sometimes I think this may involve two pledges being "tied" together using tape or what have you for the duration of the party, but I'm not sure.
