No, this is not a membership question...

...well i hope it's not considered one.

I am about to start my freshman year in college and I would like to join a certain sorority. I know that most colleges do not allow freshmen to try out for membership, and I don't know if that's the case for my college, but if so, consider this as a hypothetical question.

In high school, I haven't done much community service. I did what I had to do in order to get my required hours for graduation, but other than that, I haven't done a lot. BUT I have joined majority of the clubs that my school has had to offer. I was the editor (and basically the only person on the staff) of the yearbook, I participated in the SGA, I tutored, I was the manager of the track team, I help teachers/staff members out, etc. Could these activites count as community service? Or are the recruiters (I don't know if that's the name for those that decide who joins the sorority) looking for actual service in the community?

I know it's not too late to start doing community service, but between now and if the sorority starts the pledging process in the fall, will the little community service plus the work that I put in at my high school be enough?

This is membership related and you know it. Look up what community service is defined as and check out the sorority's official website.
