Door Decorations
 

Hello everyone,
Im the NME for the Zeta Pi Chapter and am in need of ideas for door decorations. I want to put something on the new members' doors on bid day with their names on it and something AOII related to let everyone know that they are our girls and that we are so proud to have them :)

The house manager at Xi Omicron made the cutest door decs last year. (She made me one since I'm their Corp Board Pres!) It is a wide (probably 2" or so)red with white polka dot grosgrain ribbon. She cut the bottom with a decorative v notch. The top she folded over and hot glued for a clean edge. Then she added a white bow vertically near the top. She cut circles out of black contruction paper, and glued the circles down the ribbon (like a stoplight) with as many as were needed to spell the girl's name. She used red glitter to make one letter on each black circle. Sort of like this:

You could add an extra circle at the top with a die cut panda or rose.

They were so cute with the red, white, and black. I love love polka dot ribbon and then the glitter added some bling.

We cut bears out of the big poster sheets. They had a bow tied around thier necks with the sorority letters on one of the streamers. The girls' names were written either across the belly or on the other side of the streamer.

We've also had them where the bear matched the Bid Day theme. For example, when we did a Fiesta Bid Day, the bear was wearing a sombrerro (sp?). Another time we used a Disney theme and the bear was wearing Mickey ears with sorority letters and holding a balloon. The girls' names were written on the balloons.

We also did pandas out of big poster board as well. I think we cut them out of white poster board and then cut the black parts of the panda out of black poster board and over layed them on the white, though I can't remember the specifics. (I wasn't one of the more artistically inclined ones in my chapter.)

Ours were cut out pandas holding a rose. I think the rose was construction paper and the pandas were the heavier poster board.
