I can only hope
that the person with the high bid is a member, and not a collector.

wonder how her grandmother would feel?
|
Oh, that makes me sad. I hope it is a DG bidding.
This is exactly why I have a very specific clause in my will saying what to do with my Delta Gamma badge (just as my mom had in her will). |
That seller is also selling his/her mother's DG pin and uncle's DTD pin! :(

DG should demand that badges be returned to EO if they're not buried with members or passed on to other members. DG badges should be strictly owned by other DGs! |
I tried bidding on it because I really really want to return it to Archives at DG but i tried $155.01 and was automatically outbid. i really really am praying it is a dg....i'm too poor to try to pay more :(
|
This one is worse, because she's cheerfully selling her own badge:
"Up for auction is my personal Delta Gamma Pin. Brand new! I transferred to a school where DG doesn't exist so I never really got the chance to use it sadly." http://cgi.ebay.com/Delta-Gamma-soro...cmdZViewItem:( |
Crashing...
OMG that seller looks like she is right up the road from me  I hope a member gets that pin |

collectors make me incredibly sad. how can you tell its a collector??
|
Click on the "name" and it takes you to a page that lists their last transactions over, I think, a 90-day period. The person bought lots of fraternity insignia...no particular group. I bid on it, too, but wasn't quick enough. *sigh*
|
She offered it for sale and said that Delta Gamma has been around since 1877. Gee.
At least she could have gotten the date right! I could never sell my pin. |
