Question regarding Theta Kappa Nus Badge
I was skimming over the History book today, and on page 115 where it talks about how the TKN Badge is made, it mentioned that Founders Badges were adorned with Diamonds in the center. So my question is, does anyone know how much merit this statement holds.
It seems to me that it would be too hard to keep non-founders from practicng this tradition. Not to mention ive seen quite a few with diamond centers, so that leads me to believe that brothers other than Founders were adding the bling to theirs as well. |
Intresting question!
I read that also, but remember, that there were many considered founders per each chapter. Don't really have any idea if there are many if any original TKNs alive today. I wonder if there is anyone such as George Spaysk who could answer this question? According to the TKN pledge manual, it may have 12 "white" stones on the edges of the three arms. It can also have 1 "white" stone in the center in place of the rose design. It doesn't say anything about a diamond for a founder though. |
Trey,
I think you'll have to ask Chuck where he got that from. |

I'm sure it's not a huge number, but if we really tried hard and looked I'm sure it'd be possible to find a few if they're out there. |
