President G.W. Bush

How would you rate the President's performance thus far?

I personally think it's too early to tell. This attack on the U.S. and how he responds and resloves this situation will probably make or break him. So far I think he is holding is own, of course with the help of his advisory board and father. I don't know what it is about him, but for one, he doesn't seem to have that maturity his father and Clinton had when they were in office. Clinton and Bush seemed more president material than Bush, Jr. I can"t put my finger on what it is about him that I'm not feelin. However, I hope his decisions are made in the best interest of us all and that they will keep this country thriving. I guess we will see how he fairs in the months and years to come.

I'm feeling the same way. I don't know, many of his reactions seem a little... staged or posed. Like when he was on the phone with the Mayor of NY and they had cameras on him. That looked very staged. It's like he's always posing for the cameras... I can't find a better way to put it. However, I wouldn't trade places with him right now for anything. He has a very difficult job, and I'm willing to guess that if our economy goes down, he can forget about a 2nd term in office. Remember, the Gulf War is what helped to block his father's re-election.
