The Big Coffee Company!

Has anyone one heard about StarBucks not sending coffee to the war zones when they they the Troops offered to pay for it as Starbucks did not support the current wars?

Said no?

What is this?

Told them to screw off????

That's another False Rumor circulating in e-mails.

Same goes with Oscar Mayer.

DSTCHAOS 07-29-2008 05:13 PM

haha.

DSTCHAOS 07-29-2008 05:14 PM

Thanks for not emptying your inbox for this rumor, Tom.

I guess if snopes says it is so, then it must be so.

I got my info from an Airman 3rd class who has been there for two tours.

Guess he was wrong.

OH MY GOD. Earp, seriously. Stop it.

Starbucks not only ships coffee, they DONATE it. My local Starbucks has a picture of the unit to whom they ship their coffee - smiling in the midst of the sand, Starbucks coffee packages in hand.

Even airmen can fall for an urban legend.

Yep, I've heard from at least a couple of people over there that they got Starbucks. I remember thinking it was a good gesture on Starbucks' part to donate it.

So, Tom, guess your airman got it wrong.

tom;
if you choose not to believe snopes, several other well known and respected sites report the very same thing

i do have to wonder if your source got his information the same way the op did-by word of mouth. and that he too failed to check on it first. as you did as well.

on a better note, the founder of outback (a member of sigma alpha epsilon) several years ago sent two c-17s over to afghanistan. filled with volunteers from all outback locations and enough food to open up an outback in the middle of no where. and did it with out any publicity.

Man, I guess if Encyclopedia Brittanica, the Wall Street Journal, and the Oracle at Delphi say it's so, then BY ZEUS it must be.

I only got my information from a dude who hocks his own plasma and scours trash cans for bottles.

Guess he was wrong, and I'm being a passive-aggressive asshole who doesn't listen and doesn't care that there are actual ways to check shit out before I open my mouth.

ONE LOVE

Perhaps he's a gullible as you seem to be about these email and internet rumors.
