Recruitment Counselor Reveal

Hey all, I'm just looking for some alternative ideas for the reveal portion of bid day for the Rho Gammas (or Rho Chi/Gamma Chi). Where I am, each of the PNMs says which GLO they choose and after that, Panhel E-Board and the Rho Gammas typically do a "reveal dance" set to music where pairs unzip their hoodies to reveal the BidDay shirt of their GLO. This year there are 20 Rho Gammas and Panhel E-board members.

I'm looking for either a) music suggestions or b) something new and cool to try out. The group has already vetoed having the PNMs guess (sheer madness due to volume) and having each girl wear all the sorority shirts with their own GLO shirt on the bottom (since we use BidDay shirts and there will probably be less than 20 PNMs per GLO)

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!!

One of our Rho Chi's had a plain shirt on under a Chi O shirt
And she had on tear-away pants...when she took them off, she had AΣA painted on the booty of her capris

I did a search and found this thread about Rho Chi revealings:

Letters on the ass? That's a no-no on so many levels.

Agreed. My school is really conservative when it comes to recruitment. Nothing provocative or suggestive. Letters on the butt are forbidden in my GLO and others as well. That's just disrespectful.

Looks like (from the thread the Mod posted) I'm just going to stick with the dance, but try and spice it up a little. *shrugs*

So y'all can't wear shorts or pants like these?

Nope. We're pretty strict about our insignia. We all find that really disrespectful to put your letters on your ass because you sit on it. We can't put our letters on panties either.

Regardless, this is not the topic of this thread :p

I have seen where all the Rho G's learn chants or songs from the other organizations, then on Bid Day sit in a group and start down the alphabet chanting each GLO's song. So say you start with ADPi (to pick someone random) and all the Rho G's sing.

Boom Boom I wanna go ADPi
Boom Boom And baby that ain't no lie

then the Rho G's who actually are ADPi's stand up, take off their sweatshirts to reveal ADPi shirts and sing

Boom Boom I wanna go ADPi
Don't you

It can be a lot to learn all the songs depending on how many GLO's you have though.

Ok, so maybe you could have your letters going down the leg of your pants instead

We do the layers of letters thing but without the bid day shirts, and the Rho Gammas just loaned their letters to each other.

They go through all the songs first then sing them again as they do the reveal.

I think I remember reading somewhere on here that Elon does this. Sounds like fun! Maybe instead of standing up, you could have them step forward? Even for a larger school like mine, 14 chants would initially seem like a lot, but considering, when you're in other chapters' houses, you hear their songs, you learn them (at least I did).

How many chapters are at your school?

This is similar to what I was talking about, but at my alma mater not everyone sings the song all the way through - halfway through people stop singing, then the PX's jump up and finish the song, revealing their chapter's bid day shirts at the same time (though the singing gets muffled that way). If the campus did it the way it was done in the video it would probably take forever given how many chapters there are.

Only 6 will be at Bid Day, but Phi Mu will be joining us (hopefully) next year. We're looking to make this more of a tradition, but we also want to make a really unique ceremony.

Myself and the Panhel VP of Recruitment, who is in my GLO ((((LOVE)))) cos I know she's reading this, have been brainstorming for days. Most of the ideas we've gotten or come up with still seems a little anti-climatic.
