It is very impressive how supportive Alabama's Panhellenic Council is being towards the colonization of Alpha Phi.

Recent (and upcoming) colonization attempts by my organization have not always been so well advertised by the school/college panhellenic. In fact, a recent colonization occurred in which we were not allowed to publicize in any manner until after formal recruitment was over. Thus, not a single PNM knew that a new chapter was coming to campus until bid cards were signed. One reason given for this was that the current chapters on campus did not want to have their recruitment hurt by publicizing that a new chapter was coming.

I applaud Alabama for the gracious way that they are handling the arrival of Alpha Phi. Best of luck to ALL chapters there this fall, and to Alpha Phi in their colonization. What a wonderful example of panhellenically-minded women.

These booklets are always so interesting to look at. Thanks for posting them! I hope there will be more. It's fun to get a sense of what a big deal recruitment is at different schools and parts of the country.

I really wish recruitment booklets would NOT publish "famous members". Or, if they must, do a little research because several of them listed did not even go to college and are certainly NOT members of these sororities. I just looked at the Auburn book and saw several.

Yeah, some of those were REALLY out of left field.

UNC-Chapel Hill's Panhellenic recruitment booklet. The other councils have them as well, and they're posted on the greeks.unc.edu main page.

I agree. Some of the things names sororities have are so wrong they are embarrassing! Especially when many of them have a famous members section on their I/HQ website. But there were a few groups who appeared to have done their research as well (thank God!).

ETA-And why is it even important who was "famous" anyways?!
