Location for Sorority Semi-Formal

I'm social chair for my sorority and I need some advice on a location for our upcoming semi-formal. We don't really have a theme in place, however our annual semi-formal is also our "Favorite Guy" event. Each girl brings their favorite guy to the event and we also vote as a Sorority on our favorite guy on campus and announce the winner at the dinner.

So now that you have a little background... Our sorority has less than 30 girls so there will probably be a maximum of 60ppl. The venue needs to be affordable and fun. I'm open to any suggestions! I'm also down for getting a little creative. Oh, we are in the Atlanta area so if you know of any good places in the area let me know!!

Thanks!!!!

Georgia Peach, consider asking other sorority social chairs from your school where they have their formals or seniors where it has been done in the past. Atlanta has a myriad of affordable places - check out great downtown/midtown/buckhead hotels and ask the event manager about prices. Also, if your sorority has other chapters in the area, they may be able to give you ideas. Good luck!

you can also check wedding magazines which will list reception sites, many of which may be suitable for your event.

some restaurants have private banquet rooms which work well for a group of that size.

have fun!

Depends, I assume it is a come and go that night event rather than an overnight? If it's overnight St. Simon's Island and Savannah are both nice venues for formals, but I don't know if sororities even do overnight formals (all the one's I've been to have been single night events, but my fraternity's formal is overnight).
