AXO dues

Does anyone have a ballpark figure of how much it will cost per semester to be in AXO? Or about how much DG, AOII would be?

Thank you!

It'll vary wildly from campus to campus. When you go through recruitment the figures will be made available to you.

check your campus greek life/panhellenic web site. sometimes they will give avg. chapter expenses.
ETA: according to Vandy's Greek FAQ website, Panhellenic dues are between $700-$1000 per semester.

Since you have friends in that chapter, they can also tell you what the dues include. As I found out and continue to preach, it's hard to compare apples to apples when they give you the sheet of fees. Some include everything, some chapters are a la carte.

That's really cheap. Wow. I'm surprised by Vandy.

Although I might be comparing apples to oranges, because fraternity dues are slightly different.

I am incredibly jealous of their dues. I wish ours were that cheap.

Ours (for all on-campus NPC sororities) were about $300/semester. That obviously didn't include housing or food.

Also, remember as a new member you will have more fees like: Badge/Pin fee, new member fees, initiation fees, etc. Depending on which sorority you pledge, fees vary. So it could go up considerably. I would think that 700-1000 is on the conservative end for Vanderbilt. That would be on the conservative end for Ole Miss.

I think the reason their dues are on the cheaper side compared to some other school is because even though they have houses only the EC lives in them. They have really nice houses but they aren't like huge I would say at the most eight people can live there comfortably.

Do they eat meals at Vandy? That might be why they are cheaper too.

!!!!!!!

ours are $1200 (At least!!) for OUT OF HOUSE sisters!!!

sarahsmilehawk 07-21-2008 11:58 PM

In my chapter, new members (who DONT live in the house) pay $1800 just to house corp. Then there's international dues, new member fees, buying a pin, all the t-shirts and philanthropies... It's very hard to predict the exact cost.
