Junior Rushing?

I am about to be a Junior and I am considering rushing this Summer/Fall. Is it too late to join a sorority? I am majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Chemistry and Business so I will actually be attending this school for another two years (plus). Will they take that into consideration? Thanks for your help!

I think you should probably see if this can be moved to the recruitment forum.

As far as your question, a lot depends on your campus. It's probably a little harder to join as a junior at most schools, but how much harder depends on the place.

The extra years you expect to be in school may help, but it probably won't be considered the same as rushing as a sophomore.

Good luck! There's no harm in trying.

First evaluate if you can handle tacking on an extra activity to your already heavy school load. Joining a sorority requires a lot of attention, especially during the first year. Many chapters require new members to attend weekly new member meetings on top of chapter meetings, participate in mandatory events, etc.

It's never too late to go through recruitment, however on more competitive campuses upperclassmen may find their options limited. Go through with an open mind and a good attitude!

Thanks, I will copy it to the other one!
