Little Gifts!

Hey ya'll! This is my first year taking a little and I was wondering if anyone had any cute ideas for presents. I'm on a limited budget, but I wanted to make my little's presents AMAZING and special just like mine were. So if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!!

I made my littles custom crates (but that can get pricey). greeknation.com has cheap t-shirts in cool fonts.

-If your chapter allows you to wear "home made letters" then you can make some easily by photo copying an already made pair twice and cutting out the stencils. (You can use background and foreground or just foreground) and it's cute b/c it's any fabric you choose!
-I bought the pink beanie baby lion and used puffy paint to put letter on the side.
-You can go to a craft store and buy glass vases for $1 and put letters in puffy paint so that they can have something to put all their pens or knick knacks in.
-You can buy them the pillowcase and the pillow (my littles always got those). You can buy tons of pens and pencils. -Decorate candles in their favorite colors.
-The pictures frames are cute, especially if you print pictures out to put in them.
-Flip flops are usually $9 at my local greek shop.
-You can make posters for their dorm or house door (I still have mine!) and that's super cheap!
-You can take them out and get McDonald's or whatever (the best git is TIME!)
-Buy them a cute pink rug to put in front of their dorm/ bedroom door. (A fuzzy one that would normally go in a bathroom will do or one from you local Hello Kitty store is fun (I bought myself one, which is why I thought of that).
-If you are artsy you can make them a trash bin using glossy paints.
There are a ton of things you can do that aren't too expensive.

It wasn't around when I was a collegiate, but what about ebay for some cute, inexpensive and possibly gently used stuff?

I havn't gotten any littles yet, but my big got me a little basket and filled it with fun stuff, like crayons a coloring book, playdoe, stickers, and she made me 2 shirts, and then she filled the basket with candy and stuff, and she also got me a little stuffed animal.

Nearly everything that my big gave me was hand-made and that make it all the more special. One of the first things she gave me was a plain, hot pink tshirt. She used a bleach pen to write our letter huge on the front. I know she said she had to wash it a couple times and go over it but it looked awesome. It was my first shirt (besides bid day) and I still have it.
She also bought clear votive candle holders and pink tissue paper. She cut the paper into small squares and used a clear coat to adhere them to the outside of the holders. The squares turned every which way and pretty much covered the whole holder. She finished it with large rinestones that she probably hot glued to the sides. They were cute.
I'm going to try to do the bleach pen idea on a fleece blanket (the kind with the ties all the way around). I'm not sure if it will work but it could be cute and fairly inexpensive depending on the blanket size.
