Queer Iota sub-network

Ow ow brothers,

I am looking to create and start to build a sub-network within my Iota family of queer identified brothers and hearts. While I've been down with my chapter and been building with my brothers there are many times I feel like I hit a wall.

Being queer to me is so much more than the relationships and being a queer man of color I see how we are being given negative messages and limited support. Even if its just to validate our voices, I would like to hear from anyone who is interested.

Good afternoon,

Is this a sincere attempt to build brotherhood or a spam message intended to incite discussion? This seems suspect due to the use of generallized moniker 'ace' in your signature and not a line name or chapter affiliation. Please send me a PM and if it is verified that this is a sincere post from a real member of the fraternity, the discussion can continue. Thanks.

This is definitely a sincere attempt to build brotherhood not spam. I'm new to this whole chat thing.

While I respect any person's right to live the life they choose to, I do not respect your right to build an organization within an organization based purely on homosexual orientation. Iotas and Iota Sweethearts are bonded by one principle. When you speak of validating your voices, I am not sure what that means, but as a brother, you have a voice already as it pertains to the agenda of the fraternity as a whole. If your agenda is something along social acceptance of "queers" if you will, I would hope you find another avenue to pursue this. If you were to bring this up at summer conference, I am not sure you would find many backers.
